Job Description:
The General Manager is responsible for ensuring that guests are provided a memorable dining experience, responsible for day-to-day operations, oversee back-of-house and front-of-house needs are met to ensure they run efficiently to meet both financial and quality objectives. This position reports to the Director of Operations.
General Responsibilities:

Provide excellent hospitality and customer service

Step in where and when needed to ensure efficient operations

Manage the execution of the hiring process & training programs
-
Oversee all aspects of employee management (disciplinary and performance reviews)
-
Maintain the restaurant work schedule for all employees
-
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations
-
Own the monthly inventory process
-
Provide a safe and inclusive environment
-
Involved in all aspects of government inspections of equipment and facilities
-
Implement all cleaning and maintenance schedules
-
Hold regular meetings with staff and managers to ensure all goals and objectives are being met

Responsible for the facilities and surrounding property appearance and maintenance

Perform other related duties and projects as assigned

Requirements:
-
Prior management experience within the food service industry
-
Solid financial acumen, experience with inventory management, payroll, scheduling, hiring, onboarding, POS systems, bar management
-
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
-
The ability to be a hands-on manager as needed
-
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team

In depth knowledge of food safety regulations and kitchen management practices

Physical Requirements:
This job operates in a restaurant setting. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be largely on their feet and walking around, ensuring the restaurant is operating at high efficiency. At times the employee will be required to sit/stand for long periods while using a computer and telephone headset. The employee will be regularly required to operate a computer and other office equipment, including a phone, copier, and printer. The employee may occasionally be required to move about the office to accomplish tasks; reach in any direction; raise or lower objects, move objects from place to place, hold onto objects, and move or exert force up to forty (40) pounds.
