McNabb Properties Ltd. has proudly commissioned numerous works of art to be displayed throughout our properties in Portsmouth, NH. These works, created by local and national artists, include murals, sculptures, stained glass windows as well as unique and thoughtful architectural details. Our community art projects can viewed by the general public.
Thomas Berger is a visual artist who focuses on representation and depiction of the natural world through three-dimensional art forms. Although his current focus is on sculpture, his work includes photography, painting, and landscape design. He is located in Kittery, Maine. Much of Berger's work is inspired by the beauty of nature, particularly as it relates to marine life and invertebrate land animals.
Berger's Stars and Stripers sculpture is located in the atrium foyer of Hearth Market, in addition to his newest series, Metamorphosis, located in the courtyard at Hearth Market.
A furniture designer / maker / sculptor. Vivian's sleek abstracted metal and concrete furniture combines the aesthetic sensibilities of contemporary design, craft, and sculpture to create furniture that alter expectations of and interfaces with domestic landscape.
Vivian Beer has two large metal sculptures, Impact and Woven located in the Hearth Market courtyard.
Flora Bowley (pronounced bowl-lee) is an artist, author, and gentle guide whose creative process and soulful approach that blends over twenty-five years of professional painting experience with her background as a yoga instructor, healer, and lifelong truth seeker.
Flora's mural artwork is located throughout the walls of Hearth Market.
Oregon-born and raised, Pierce came east to study literature at Trinity College in Hartford, CT. The proximity to New York City awakened him to the pulse and vibe of big city energy and its art scenes. “The power of nature combined with New York’s creative thrust propelled me to a life based on the practice of art,” said Pierce, a poet-turned visual artist.
Pierce's sculpture, "Learning of Chi," made of hemlock, stainless steel, and oil paint, is located in the atrium foyer entrance at Hearth Market.
